I got the last Abraham Obama t-shirt from DNM Hong Kong!
DNM, short for ”Delay No Mall”, if you don’t understand the embedded meaning to this name, you’ll find it a bit strange. But it’s actually quite clever because in Cantonese, “Delay No Mall” sounds exactly as “Fu*k your mother”!

This place captures perfectly the essence of Hong Kong pop culture playing up the old Hong Kong flavor and also promoting the young Hong Kong creative culture. What’s the ”Young Hong Kong Culture”? To me, the formula goes like this - TRADITIONAL HONG KONG + FOREIGN INVASION = Young Hong Kong Culture.
Delay No Mall included many exclusive foreign brands along with creative merchandise from talented Hong Kong designers. The 2-storey concept comprises of 3 levels with the ground and first level filled with many unique brands and creative goodies, a newly opened restaurant, and a contemporary art gallery on the top floor. This Causeway Bay Mall is definitely one of the must-go for your Hong Kong trip.
Ron English’s Asia Tour Exhibition had just ended in the art gallery with one of the highlights as the exclusive line - MINDstyle X Ron English X Delay No Mall’s Abraham Obama Vinyl Bust (the image where he crosses over Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln) t-shirts, notebooks, tote bags, armchairs and bullet stools.
I have spotted the T-shirt on the display window for days but never get a chance to come by until today. Thanks to the Mall Manager, Chris, who helped me trace the last one!
If you happen to be a fan of pop art, Delay No Mall will be starting an Michael Lau exhibition - which I am asking Chris to give me more info to share with you. Meanwhile, if you want to check out what’s new in DNM, please visit: http://www.dnm.hk/
